Flu is a highly infectious viral disease which occurs across the world – during cold seasons with fewer sunny days.
Flu viruses type A, B and C (influenza) spread throughout the human population. Type A flu causes explosive epidemics, Type B flu does not result in pandemics, occurring mainly in locally, slow-spreading epidemics, while Type C flu occurs only sporadically and causes mild symptoms, most commonly amongst children. The Type A virus is highly unstable, often mutating (possible combinations H1-H17 and N1-N9).
The virus attacks the respiratory system, most commonly spread through droplets in the air produced by infected people breathing, coughing or sneezing, but also through infected hands touching the face. This makes flu highly transmissible.
Flu begins suddenly with fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, sensitive skin, malaise, later leading on to a dry cough. There is not usually rhinitis. The disease usually lasts 2 – 7 days.
Gan Mao Ling helps a lot with flu if it is in its initial phase. It is a popular antiviral with strong antiviral effects on inflammations in the larynx and tonsils as a result of a cold. This is the result of the six Chinese herbs which are used as such in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Start using it as soon as you feel the first symptoms of a cold or flu, such as a fever, chills, headache, sore throat, red eyes, stiff neck and back, cough, swollen lymph glands or general pain. The product is suitable for short-term use. Once the described acute symptoms have gone, you need not use the product any longer.
