Albert Y. Leung Ph.D., B.S., M.S.
He is considered one of the leading experts in botanical products in the Western world and an expert in traditional Chinese medicine. For more than 50 years he has been researching historical and traditional plants and he is the author of formula for our products.
Albert Y. Leung, Ph.D., was born in Hong Kong in 1938. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from National University of Taiwan (in 1961) and then a Ph.D. in pharmacognosy from the University of Michigan (first an M.S. degree in 1965 and then a Ph.D. in 1967).
He has been active in the research of historical and traditional plants for more than 50 years. His findings contributed to the computer database of medicinal herbs (PHYTOMED) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). He is the author of the Encyclopedia of Common Natural Ingredients Used in Food, Drugs and Cosmetics, as well as many articles dedicated to traditional remedies of vegetable origin. For many years, he has promoted product quality in the herb processing industry.
He is considered one of the leading experts on botanical products in the Western world and an expert in traditional Chinese medicine. He worked on the development of hundreds of natural products which are successfully being sold everywhere in the world. He is the founder of the herbal blend field. He developed the original versions of two other herbal drinks: Libra and Intra. Mr. Leung is the author of many market – successful formula of herbal products that are still selling by international companies, for example: Forever Living, Herbalife, Colgate, Palmolive, Estée Lauder, Avon…
In June 2011 Mr. Leung received Alumni Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award given by University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. World Universities award is definately one of the main awards to scientists and visionaries. Mr. Leungs award can be considered as one of the possible career peaks for the scientist and innovator.
He is the author of numerous publications and articles dedicated to the selection and use of traditional herbs:
